Actually I don't want a MenuBar.
I would like to keep it as a button from which the menu is popped out.

Why?  GtkMenuBar+GtkMenuItem, GtkComboBox or
GtkToolbar+GtkMenuToolButton all provide this type of
behaviour.  Why they are not enough?
