I am setting object-properties in one place of the app via g_object_set()
Somewhere else I have connected a signal handler to "notity::propname".
While these things usually work, in this particulary case my signal handler is
not getting invoked.
The g_object_set e.g. takes place in a different thread.
Is that a problem.
Any other ideas what can avoid sending the notify?
