JOB FUNCTIONS: Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Monitor and report on network performance. Act on monitoring alerts. Implement and maintain organization wide security strategies. Provide technical design and capacity planning for the network and network systems. Proactively seek new technologies to utilize and improve performance or reduce operating costs. Implement network computing strategies and standards. Prepare and maintain network documentation. Train relevant parties on supporting new software and hardware. Collaborate with vendors and customers on all network related projects. Maintain all switches, hubs, and related hardware. Act as a resource to less experienced associates. Work with sourcing vendors to ensure design and implementations are functional. Performs other duties as assigned.
