*Job Tittle : Sr. Java Developer* *Location : Raleigh/Durham, NC(LOCAL)* *Duration : 6+ Months with extension* *NOTE : LOCAL CONSULTANTS ONLY!!!* *Job Description:* 8+ years developing web applications using Java Enterprise Edition. Experience can fall under a mix of acronyms (Struts, JSF, JSP, Servlets, Wicket, Vaadin, Tapestry, etc.; we aren't concerned with how they got there, just needs to be one of many methods that Java offers). Ability to work in Linux; we don't need a sys admin, but we do need someone who won't be powerless without a mouse. Experience with Hibernate; ideally we'd see it littered here and there over a few years of work. Capable of writing SQL to insert, update, delete, examine a RDBMS. DBA not needed, rather someone who can write code which interfaces with a DB. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Will collaborate with our customers, consult, propose ideas, suggest enhancements - must be comfortable in this role and excel at it. Passion for Unit Testing - look for JUnit, Mock Objects, etc. We will not offer this position to anyone who hasn't done unit testing, nor will we offer this position to someone who has the acronym on their resume who doesn't understand why Unit Testing is so valuable. Bonus points to someone who quit an assignment b/c the team they were working with didn't value Unit Testing. Experience with Eclipse, at least two years. They should know how to make the most of Eclipse and we will ask questions to insure they do.
