Something changed after Nov 14. I can compile the same source from download prior to Nov 14, and it works fine. Same compiler, same kernel, same environment. And I checked COMMAND_LINE_SIZE and on linux-3.x, it's not limited to 256 anymore. I use this to run grub. # grub-install --force --no-floppy --boot-directory=/boot /dev/sda Thanks, Jeff
