I've used grub2 on many Lenovo notebooks and Dell servers without any problem, but on the Intel DG965RY motherboard, it can't see the grub menu if the grub disk partition is not made active. Error is not boot device found. Simply activating the partition (fdisk -> select "a" to activate) would boot just fine.
On other systems, active partition is not needed, and the same USB device can boot fine. Is this a known problem? I'm using latest grub from CVS. July 03 2007. Thanks, Jeff. _______________________________________________ Grub-devel mailing list Grub-devel@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/grub-devel
