Rich's homepage is still available. Maybe it will give some clues? I see he
references adocument about the -ms macros. Any chance that is what you are
seeking? I didn't knowthat he had defined special macros for the books but who
knows?

I will find the reference.
I found mentioned earlier today of somebody who used those same macros for
his PhD. So they must exist.
