Folks,
the current git version of `texinfo.tex` (which will eventually become part of the next Texinfo version) has some important changes that heavily influence the layout of `@def*` commands. Since groff needs a lot of macro trickery to get good results I strongly suggest that you test the changes and report any problems to 'bug-texi...@gnu.org'. https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/texinfo.git/tree/doc/texinfo.tex I also suggest that you test with a git version of `makeinfo` because `groff.texi` relies on its macro expansion (i.e., option `--macro-expand`). BTW, recent versions of `texi2dvi --help` no longer explain what `--batch` or `-e` is good for: option `--batch` of `texi2dvi` is the default since Texinfo 6.7 (2019) and thus deprecated, option `-e` (to be replaced with `-E`) has been obsoleted in Texinfo 6.3 (2016). The good news is that the old options still work :-) Werner
