I think our messages crossed in the ether. I suspect you're seeing man-db man(1)'s "squeezing" of blank lines as I mentioned in my previous message <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff/2022-05/msg00019.html>. Try running "nroff -man" instead of "man -l" directly on the man page source document, and see if the problem persists. If you want the output paged, also pipe it through "less -R". Regards, Branden
