Hi Serge, > is there anything like "manlint"? A tool which verifies the syntax of > a man file and eventually points to errors?
Eric Raymond has been working on a program called doclifter to turn man pages into DocBook. A daft idea, and one which the slow death of XML and DocBook should ensure never gains traction. :-) However, he sent patches a few years ago to many open-source projects to fix issues with their man pages which doclifter spotted. You may find it has the ability to report these as part of its interface. https://gitlab.com/esr/doclifter http://www.catb.org/esr/doclifter/bugs.html http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=7998 -- Cheers, Ralph.
