I am using groff (Peter's mom mackropackage) to write german texts and i was
asking myself just the above question: how can i tell groff(mom) to hyphenate
more german-language-sensible? So far my solution was to simply turn off
hyphenation (.HY OFF in mom).

For my current expertise on groff (which is slight) the method Werner explains
above seems rather difficult. But i can imagine solutions to this (concerning
german) are already existing. Are they?
