Hello,

I am the son of the founding publisher (founded 1977) and editor of
Transitions Abroad magazine, Dr. Clay Hubbs, who was long an advocate
of the Responsible Travel movement in all it forms (then as yet
undefined to the extent it is now). Of course my father saw
Responsible Travel as a fundamentally common-sense notion which he
considered a consequence of any substantive educational and immersion
travel experience.

We have just released a webzine with a focus on Responsible Travel and
Ecotourism:

http://www.transitionsabroad.com/tazine/0812/index.shtml

which builds on our existing resource portal on the subject

http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listings/travel/responsible/resources.shtml

The webzine includes the following articles:

    * The Practical Eco Traveler
    * Defining Ecotourism and Responsible Tourism
    * Ecotourism in a Southern Province of Thailand
    * Helping to Preserve Endangered Species and Ecosystems
    * Learning to Love Voluntourists
    * Ecuador's Authentic Hotels and Haciendas from North to South
    * Iceland: One Island's Sprint Toward Energy Independence
    * and much, much, more...

If you have a moment, check it out, and we would welcome submissions
on the subject for next year's dedicated issue.

Thank you,

Gregory Hubbs
