The course is basically to implement international standards in eco
tourism and sustainable development for the projects that s/he is
involved. One could also become a practicing consultant for GGAP
Certification and Eco tourism projects.
The Certification process has 3 steps - Affiliate membership,
Benchmarked operation and Certified operation. Internationally more
than 500 organisations had become a part of GG21 process.
The Indian tourism industry is growing rapidly and the trend is to be
more eco-friendly in all activities, there will be tremendous scope
for those completing the course. At present, there are only 4
organisations from India and Malabar House (www.malabarhouse.com)
became the first one to get Certified. There are many hotels,
resorts, travel agents, tour operators and other companies in tourism
industry which could be targeted for the promotion of the concept.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you
Warm regards
