I have been the module owner for the Core :: Build Config module since 2013. I am no longer a Mozilla employee and am effectively dormant in The Project.
The build system module requires someone who is active in The Project and has experience with its vast scope and impact. I am honored to announce that Chris Manchester has accepted my offer to become the next Core :: Build Config module owner. Chris has intimate knowledge of the technical workings of the build system, has comprehension of the various non-technical implications of the build system and is able to articulate those well, and is organizationally situated to be an effective module owner. I think Chris will make a terrific module owner and he has my full support in that capacity. The module ownership governance policy is still a bit nebulous, so I'm not sure if this is legally a proposal or an announcement. I'll assume the latter. So please congratulate Chris on becoming the new module owner! You've earned it, Chris.
