Currently @mozilla.org aliases and accounts are for original @mozilla.org folks (a handful of people) and were for sometime used by foundation but that practice stopped AFAIK otherwise they are assigned anymore. There has been discussion over the years of allowing both contributors and projects inside of the Mozilla umbrella to have aliases but that discussion has not resulted in anything but proposals and no ownership of actually making it happen.
Most recently Mike Hoye made a proposal but I think the reason a lot of discussion is happening and not any action is the lack of approval from leadership and the lack of ownership from IT. Until then your best option might be to reach out to community ops who could register a generic domain name like thunderbird-community.org or something and setup email aliases for you on the community ops infrastructure. _______________________________________________ governance mailing list governance@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
