 In hindsight, we could certainly have done more to help Brendan.
However, I would like to stress out that most of us did support him,
regardless of our political opinions. Just look at our blog aggregator
(http://planet.mozilla.org – you'll have to scroll back a few days) and
you will see many blogging in favor of Brendan.

The pressure that eventually convinced Brendan to step down came almost
entirely from the outside, more specifically from a marketing campaign
organized by OKCupid. It is very sad that this campaign caused Brendan
to resign, as he felt his name was hurting the Mozilla mission.
