There are two issues causing the current latency in Mail-Archive,
which has fallen nearly a week behind realtime. One was a stupid disk
issue: DMA was turned off on the main partition, when we rebooted last
week, slowing the disk by a factor of 10. That took a while to track
down and is now fixed. The second issue is the enormous increase of
incoming traffic due to virus emails that have been plaguing the
internet recently. That is subsiding by itself, but I may have to
deal with it from an engineering perspective as well. People at work
have started calling it the "Intermittentnet" instead of "Internet"
because of all the problems.

It looks like things are clearing out, but it will take several days
to burn off the giant backlog (my best guess is ~5 days). I know this
is causing trouble for some lists. I never implemented the ability to
prioritize some lists over others, so please be patient. I know there
is a problem, and it is getting resolved, and it will take some time.
