v46 has broken control of the x-axis labels. That is, the following options
now do nothing when used on a column chart:
slantedText
showTextEvery
maxAlternation
I have temporarily fixed the problem by reverting to the previous version
via:
google.charts.load('45.2', {'packages': ['corechart']});
