Thanks for responding Daniel.    That it is working for you is good news.   
I copied the code in the AnnotationChart reference you gave into an HTML 
file and executed it in the 6 browsers.   Again, that code executed in all 
browsers except Safari which just presents a blank screen with a white 
background.   My code follows.   It works as intended in all of the 
mentioned browsers except Safari which presents a blank screen with a white 
background.   I do have what I think is the latest version of Safari for 
Windows - 5.1.7.
