When using the google maps javascript api on our development sites the script,https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key={our key}, loads fine, but in our production site the page hangs waiting for a response.
There is no error message. Eventually the browser comes back and says the script is taking too long either wait or exit. The key does not have any restrictions and we are fairly certain that we have not exceeded any limits in terms of the number of map requests per user or per day.
