I am working on a Google map that displays several layers of GIS data
pertaining to *voting districts for the U.S. House of Representatives*.
One of my goals with this map is to increase public awareness of
*gerrymandering*.

If you are curious, here is a link to the first version of the map:

For more info, you can click *"Map Tips"* in the upper left corner.

I have improvements to the map in the pipeline that will make it easier to
use.

Does anyone know what *status code* is returned if my MappingSupport.com
domain exceeds 25,000 map API loads in a day?

How do I access that *status code* with javascript?

I searched here and on stackoverflow and did not find an answer.

Gerrymandering of voting districts at all levels of government is going to
be an increasingly hot topic. Just do a google search for hits within the
last month. Thus, I suspect this map might have the potential to bump up
against the daily load limit. If that happens, then I want to be able to
display an *informative message* to users inviting them to view the map
tomorrow.
