hi, I am new to the v3 maps - I am in the process of revisiting our current maps to be more mobile friendly.
When testing v3 google maps with an older iPhone (iPhone3 using Safari 4), I consistently get Safari shutting down after I pan around for a minute or two. I used a very basic map for testing this: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/map-simple.html The only other posting that may be related I could find is this one talking about issues in iPad with Safari image management. It seems there is a 10MB limit for images loading at a time. http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_frm/thread/ae0d0917707f7ccb/912b333c3c2e05d0?lnk=gst&q=ipad+limit#912b333c3c2e05d0 Is browser crashing on older iPhones(3) something that anyone else has run into and has a successful work around? Or any other helpful information out there? best, Joe -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
