As a disclaimer I'm a complete noob in javascript. Now the problem: In
Google Earth, when a 3D KML polygon is added (i.e., a polygon with
altitude defined) the StreetView creates an overlay over the 360
degree photographs which is an amazing augmented reality capability.
Is it possible to do the same with the Google Maps API? If so, could
you point me to sample code doing this? I've read discussions about
samples using markers but have not come up with one in which the 3D
KML is draped in the pictures like it does natively in Google Earth.
When I added a 3D KML in my overlay sample and entered in StreetView I
was expecting its behavior to be similar to GE, but saw no layer
draped on the pictures. I assume I need to setup something (if the
capability is there) or maybe deal with the GE plugin (but I already
have so much invested using the gmaps api).

I'd really appreciate any insight.

Thanks,

Milo
