Hi, Does anyone know why, since recently, a url search to Google Maps with a nicely specified query (city + country) returns multiple answers? For instance,
http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=xml&oe=utf-8&key=&q=London%2C+United+Kingdom which is a search for "London, United Kingdom". It returns multiple answers, as will a search for "New York, USA". Why is that? How much more specific should a query for a city have to be.. specifying the city and country should surely be enough to get a unique hit, right? Or have am I missing something here.. ? (it has worked flawlessly with the exact same query up until just recently).
