Hi Tim, I'm having the same problem as you.

Did you find any solution?

I don't know, but it seems that some infos on google maps isn't
available when using it out of google. For example, if you create a
map on my maps and embed it into a blog using the iframe create via
that link button on top o google maps, the map shown isn't the same,
some infos about some places like restaurants, pub's and etc. doesn't
appear.

Any hint will be welcome.
