I have an application where I have a number of raster maps, some of which
partially overlap each other. I am trying to find which of the raster maps
is better suited to provide a tile to getTileUrl. I have each map described
as LatLngBounds and the tile is described as LatLngBounds.

Where two or more maps partially overlap the tile I want to find which map
has the best overlap => the map with the largest intersection area between
the tile and the map.

I am sure there must be a simple and elegant solution to calculating this
area, probably by passing a path to
google.maps.geometry.spherical.computeArea, the path being the corners of
the area where the two rectangles intersect.

But I can't figure out anything but very complicated ways to get this path.
Any suggestions?

TIA
