I was wondering if it is possible to speed up my map by loading a particular markers' infowindow only when it is clicked, and not loading all infowindows on map loading. I hope that makes sense.
I am plotting over 800 markers in one tile at zoom=8. All 800 markers are immediately visible when the map loads at zoom 8. The performance is really bad and I have tried different methods of getting the map to scroll faster. If you try to move the map it is extremely sluggish. Is it sluggish because all infowindow information is loading when the map loads? If so, could I possibly code it so that the infowindow only loads when the marker is clicked? Thanks a lot. Any other advice regarding this particular map and its performance issues would be greatly appreciated.
