Also: Your code is looking for:
xmlDoc.documentElement.getElementsByTagName("Trackpoint");
points[i].getElementsByTagName("LatitudeDegrees")),
points[i].getElementsByTagName("LongitudeDegrees"))
None of which occur in your xml. That has elements named "trkpt" with
_attributes_ lat and lon (you need to get them with getAttribute, not
getElementByTagName.
