Barry - thanks a lot - that seems to be what I was looking for. Now I have more than 1100 tiles in my disk - createt from a single panorama. - trying to get this working with the API now.
all others - thanks too! Miguel - I was almost on trying your hint - but Barry's seems to do the trick out of the box. Federico - your right - I allays thought so about the one-shot lenses! with those you get one image limited by the resolution of the cam. - this has to be stretched to make a panorama. the resulting quality will never reach a carefully taken series of multiple pictures.
