About pano pictures, you can use a single picture, you know that? http://www.federicoulfo.it/maps/custom_pano.html the picture is small so the quality looks bad, http://www.federicoulfo.it/maps/pano.jpg, but if you use bigger picture the quality is good, only problem I found using only one picture is the loading time, slower than tile picture, right, but not so bad.
Anyway for taking panorama I bought a 360 single shot lens, which I advice everybody to *don't buy*, it cost about $600 and is totally not worth it! I also bought a Nodal Ninja staff $150, that allow to get really good panorama! as software I use Panorama Factory (80$) but hugin and others do the same for free : ) Enjoy 2010/8/12 Miguel Angel Vilela <[email protected]> > > Sorry, I didn't get the question right. > > I don't know many tools to automate the splitting, but the "convert" tool > from imagemagick.org seems to do fairly fine: > > wget http://jamiethompson.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zoom2.png > convert zoom2.png -crop 130x130+132+132 out.png > > That would download one of the images from Jamie's post and extract the > tile at the 2nd row, 2nd column. > > Hope this helps! > > On Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 12:28, StilgarBF <[email protected]> wrote: > >> creating the panoramas is not the problem.
