This is the v3 group. If you want to use v3, this is the correct place (sorry if I wasn't clear). And it certainly isn't easy to figure out right now. V3 is still under active development, but v2 has been deprecated. V2 officially supports IE6 & FF2, v3 doesn't. > > I am a web designer and i am working on Google Maps API for the first > time. > > I have copied the code fromhttp://econym.org.uk/gmap/example_map9.htm > > I made some changes to styles but am not able to do much. That is not the right place to start if you want to use v3, that tutorial is for v2. There is no equivalent tutorial for v3 (Mike Williams has been away for awhile, and has just returned, I'm not sure whether he is going to do one for v3 or not, but the Google people have provided lots of examples). > > Here is the page im working on: http://krishnamraju.com/map/newmap.html That is definitely using v2 of the API. You should move this discussion to the v2 group, unless you want to use v3. > - this is another example which doesn't load the data from external > file. > > I am not sure why the API key is not working. You need to decide which version you want to use. -- Larry > > Please help me. > > Thanks a lot, > Krishnam > > On Jul 27, 11:33 am, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > On Jul 26, 10:55 pm, Krishnam <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > Hi all, > > > > Real new to google maps API. > > > > I am using this map for my web site. > > > > Example pagehttp://econym.org.uk/gmap/basic9.htm > > > > Maphttp://econym.org.uk/gmap/example_map9.htm > > > > I need help; > > > > 1) When I click on a link it should highlight so that its clearly > > > visible that the map is showing that particular address. > > > > 2) The Zoom level should be Street Level. > > > Define Street Level.
