I can no longer access the documentation for Google Maps API V2 from
any Google website, and am wondering if this omission puts Google in
violation of their own Terms of Service (ToS) as per

http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html

The ToS includes this clause concerning the deprecation of service:

=========================
4.4 Changes to the Service: Termination of the Service.

For a period of 3 years after an announcement (the “Deprecation
Period”), Google will use commercially reasonable efforts to continue
to operate the Deprecated Version of the Service
=========================

This three year period seems reasonable to me. However, the ToS makes
numerous references to the "Maps API Documentation" in a way that, for
a licensee to adhere to the ToS for the V2 API, requires them to
reference the corresponding V2 "Maps API Documentation". Here are a
few examples:

1.4 Precedence of Maps APIs Terms. If there is any contradiction
between the Maps APIs Terms and other Maps API-related documents
(including but not limited to the Maps APIs Documentation), then the
Maps APIs Terms will take precedence.

5.2 Account Key. ... Your Maps API Implementation must import the
Google Maps APIs using this key as described in the Maps APIs
Documentation,

7.4 d) Proprietary Rights Notices. ... you agree to display such
notices according to the Maps APIs Documentation.

8.2 Maps APIs Documentation and FAQs. For further guidance regarding
use of the Content, please see the Maps APIs Documentation

10.12 ... unless you are explicitly permitted to do so in the Maps
APIs Documentation ...

As Google no longer provides access to the V2 Maps API Documentation,
how can I adhere to these clauses, and thus remain in compliance of
the ToS ?

I respect Google's prerogative to cease hosting of V2 Maps API
Documentation on their servers, but they should have provided advance
notice of their plans, so that licensees could make a local copy.

I hope that Google can either restore the V2 Maps API Documentation,
or describe how we are now to interpret the ToS, for our company
(ThinkWrap Solutions & GoogleMapsDev) develops and supports the V2
Maps API platform for a number of high-profile clients in the United
States and internationally.

Thank you
