@Andrew: I do not have any vitriol toward Go or GAE. Think of these posts as tough love :). I am GAE's loyal customer since 2009 and so is Jeff who started this thread. Without sounding pompous we, and small startups and indie developers like us, ARE your best customers. You are clearly entitled to your opinion. Now think of what you are doing: Following in a good old Google's tradition you are ignoring what customers are telling you. I know Google keeps having these wet dreams of Fortune 500 getting onto GAE en masse. Let's be honest - that has not happened. Why? - not because Go runtime was not there. Rather because GAE team likes to overextend themselves working on cute and interesting side projects.
