I'm sending a 737k photo to the image service to rotate, and it sends
back a 822k image that looks terrible compared to the original.

I've tried with many images, and all look equally bad. I believe it
appears as it would if I were using a super low quality interpolation
argument (to the traditional java ImageIO).

My service deals with a lot of images coming from camera phones, and
so rotations are frequent. I'm not sure how to get around this
problem - and its blocking my progress.

I have sample images I'd be happy to email.

FWIW, I don't believe this always happened. When I was originally
testing a few months ago, the image rotate and resize worked fine.
Has something changed recently?
