Bigtable is VERY convenient - assuming you want a scalable application. I have had to scale a MySQL database in the past, and believe me, it is very difficult to do properly. Once you have this experience, you understand why the datastore is designed the way it is, and are quite happy about it!
I guerss the bottom line is if you are developing a low-volume site, it will be easier to do it on a PHP/MySQL server. But if you think/ hope it might ever become a high volume site, it will be several times easier on appengine. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
