Ask yourself the following questions to determine if you are addicted to
Perl Golf. Score one point for each question, except where noted.

1) You have ever posted from work. Add 5 for refereeing from work.
2) You have posted from a location other than home/work (+1 for each
addition location).
3) You have golfed while on vacation.
4) You have posted within the last hours of a tournament just to improve
your tie-breaker.
5) While surfing, you keep the leaderboard in a separate window to keep
an eye on the action. Add 3 pts if you set this to your "home" page.
6) You curse aloud at people you've never met for moving past you on the leaderboard.
7) You have convinced yourself that you are helping your employer by
playing Perl Golf at work. Add 5 if you have convinced your employer as well.
8) You have convinced others to play Perl Golf (+1 for each person who
has posted. +5 for your spouse/mate/significant other).
9) You have explained the contest problem to somone knowing that they
have absolutely no interest in it.
10) You have ever posted between 2AM and 6AM.
11) Your idea of an "alien conspiracy" is Ton and Eugene meeting for coffee.
12) You find yourself with a new interest in real Golf when it comes on TV.
13) You are pleased that your name will forever be associated with an
athletic activity, thanks to Google.
14) You have noticed the inconsistencies between the Career Money
Leaders set up by Andrew and Yanick. Add 3 if it bothers you.
15) You would like to be a referee, but you are aware that you will lose
a few spots in the overall standings.
16) You have posted 3 or more times within a 5 minute period, valuing
"leaderboard action" over the time spent by the referees.
17) You plan your schedule around the first week of each month. Add 3 if
the delay this month was a major inconvenience.
18) You carry around printouts of your current solution to take
advantage of every minute of your "free time".
19) You are certain that you could shave at least 3 of the 12 steps in
the recovery program.
20) Your family/ friends have recognized your problem and have banned
you from playing ever again.

If your score is:
0 < 10 You are still in the "experimental" phase.
10 < 20 You are addicted! Try to skip every other tournament.
20 < 30 You are hopelessly addicted! Stop while you still can.
30 + You are hopeless! Start methadone treatment immediately!

If you answered yes to question 20, consider yourself among the lucky
ones that have the love and support of those around them. Listen to them
and obey them. Give up (Perl golf), don't give in!

My name is Michael and my score is 20.
I haven't golfed in 12 hours.
