Games-Golf-0.14.tar.gz is out on CPAN!

[Well, it's on PAUSE, at least... It might take some time to arrive to
your local mirror or to appear on search.cpan.org.]

This module has been available on CPAN since version 0.08, but we feel
that this one works enough to attract more testers.

Games::Golf aims at helping hole authors to create golf courses, and write
test scripts for their holes. In the future, it should support multi-hole
games, auto-submit to PGAS, history of the player's entries, and many
other nifty features.

Please note that the documentation, though plentyful, can be very
inacurate.

This version brings several changes that should make it more usable:
 - the ability to test Perl scripts and subroutines against a test
   script
 - a small player script that should at least test one entry (not tested)
 - the rough draft of .glf files, that will hold all the necessary
information in one place (test code, course rules, PGAS links, etc.)
 - platform independance: most of the work of capturing STDOUT, STDERR
and exit status is done in internal methods that are called depending
   on the underlying OS.
In the future, we plan to add limits (output size, running time,
   authorised opcodes, etc)
 - plenty of tests, that pass under Unix (Linux at least), Windows NT
   and Windows 9x

If you want to know the future of golf games, take a look at the .glf
files in the t/ directory. These are ports of the last two TPR courses
to run with Games::Golf.

But please remember this release is not ready for production (read
TPR(0,4)) yet. This is more of a bait for users, testers, and developpers.

What we need from you now are features requests, bug reports, tests on as
many platforms as possible and ideas on how to make Games::Golf work
better.

You can also apply to help us make Games::Golf a part of the future of
Perl golf courses. (Having two referees in our ranks might help, too. :-)

        Yours testing and golfing,

        The Games::Golf Team,

                Philippe 'BooK' Bruhat
                Steffen Müller
                Jonathan E. Paton
                Jérôme Quelin
                Eugène Van der Pijll

PS: All email regarding the Games::Golf module itself should be sent to
the developpers list (not a mailing-list, so don't try to subscribe!)
