Statements is for* control execution*. If, else, select, return etc do change the control execution, however Stmt also included "SimpleStmt" can contains: SimpleStmt = EmptyStmt | ExpressionStmt | SendStmt | IncDecStmt | Assignment | ShortVarDecl . which are not changing execution flow like "ComplexStmt" do.
