If you`re into C++ try Cimg (  https://cimg.eu/ )    It's an excellent way 
to create your own images, fractals, artwork etc. but it does have a 
learning curve  ..
I also found Lode PNG quite usefu l https://lodev.org/lodepng/  but it 
requires a lot more  additional code than Cimg
