Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere. I tried to divine it from
Russ' documents, but I couldn't really tell.

Do vanity imports change dramatically with vgo? Currently, all I have to
do to support a vanity import is to return a page at
https://gnorm.org/gnorm that has a meta element like this:

<meta name="go-import" content="gnorm.org/gnorm git
https://github.com/gnormal/gnorm";>

There's a lot of words in the vgo docs about zip files and json files and
all this jazz.... I just want to know, can I shunt all that off onto VCS
and keep my minimal one-line solution to vanity imports?
