Consider this:
func first() bool {
select {}
}
And inside another function/goroutine:
func f() {
var rcvd chan bool
select {
case rcvd <- first():
}
}
While rcvd is nil, this select statement (inside f) will block, forever.
IMHO that's unexpected.
