On behalf of the development team at Avocet Systems Ltd, I'm happy to announce 3 small open-source Go libraries that all extend the functionality of the github.com/apex/log <https://github.com/apex/log> package.
1. apexorc ( https://github.com/avct/apexorc <https://github.com/avct/apexorc>) An apex log handler which allows logging into an Apache ORC <https://orc.apache.org/> format file via Simon Critchley's ORC library <https://github.com/scritchley/orc>. 2. apexovernsq ( https://github.com/avct/apexovernsq <https://github.com/avct/apexovernsq> ) A mechanism to allow apex log messages to be forwarded via the NSQ <http://nsq.io/> message queue and re-injected into an apex log handler at the other end. 3. stdlogtoapex ( https://github.com/avct/stdlogtoapex <https://github.com/avct/stdlogtoapex>) A Writer type that implements io.Writer in terms of apex log, allowing it to be passed to log.SetOutput and thus forward output from the standard libraries log functions to be output via apex log.
