There is --override-session-key, but IIRC it can only be used to *decrypt*, not 
*encrypt*.

I agree with the assertion that this not a GnuPG use case. That 
--override-session-key option (which incidentally is listed in the man page in 
the “stuff you normally don’t want to do” section :D ) is only intended to 
allow someone to decrypt a message (e.g. if legally obliged to do so) without 
handing over their private secret key, it’s not for routine use.
