For the records: I never intended to say that anyone should create a new
rsa1024 bit key for long time storage.  However, there are cases when
creating such a key might be useful (old hardware, low value of the the
data, and uselessness of decryption after a short time).  But even then
cv25519 is a better option.

Creating PGP-2 keys is of course no no-go.

And along with algorithm strength goes the OPsec and that is much
harder.
