using a privacy sensitive email provider can help you here. E.g. with https://posteo.de/en the addressbook can be shared by CardDAV and is available to many email clients, I've shared it successfully with Android and SailfishOS devices via https://f-droid.org/de/packages/at.bitfire.davdroid/ I saw it on Kmail, too and vdirsyncer would also allow a sync. I guess mailbox.org will offer a similiar service and there are probably more email providers out there that offer CalDAV with the account. (Posteo and Mailbox.org just came out top on a 2015 test for privacy aware providers in a test.de survey and they are add-free and with a reasonable fee.) Note that both also offer WKD services.
