Hi, mainly to test the fixes to the Windows installer, I did a quick beta last Friday. However, while testing it I found that in GPA the export of keys to the keyserver does still not work. Instead of delaying a test release even more I have published that installer anyway.
Thus most things should be fixed and the Windows version should be usable from the command line, via GPA, and in the explorer. Of course there are still open bugs and I continue to work on them. The installer has a new graphics on the welcome page but it is a pretty stupid one. If someone has the talents creating a nice one, we could include that in the next release [1]. To not bother the mirros with this test release the files are in my scratch directory (and will eventually be removed): 1. The installer: ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.exe ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.exe.sig 2. The complete but large sources including all GTK+ stuff to comply with the GPL: ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.tar.xz ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.tar.xz.sig 3. A proper GnuPG source tarball: ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-2.1.1-beta35.tar.bz2 ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/people/werner/scratch/gnupg-2.1.1-beta35.tar.bz2.sig Checksums: ec1443da83dff4648cc73deb34113f8a8f261791 gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.exe 9bca63c32bb06abe9b501d1464a65ccdb82a71b1 gnupg-w32-2.1.1-beta35_20141121.tar.xz f57dc5c21e118f7d4289137e2a6a08ab6e877e91 gnupg-2.1.1-beta35.tar.bz2 Bug reports please to the gnupg-users. GnuPG changes in 2.1.1-beta35 ----------------------------- * gpg: Detect faulty use of --verify on detached signatures. * gpg: New import option "keep-ownertrust". * gpg: Fixed regression in --refresh-keys. * gpg: Fixed best matching hash algo detection for ECDSA and EdDSA. * gpg: Improved perceived speed of secret key listisngs. * gpg: Print number of skipped PGP-2 keys on import. * gpgconf --kill does not anymore start a service only to kill it. * Fixed keyserver access for Windows. * Fixed build problems on Mac OS X * The Windows installer does now install development files * More translations (but most of them are not complete). GPA in version 0.9.6 (2014-11-21) ---------------------------------- * Support keyserver operations for GnuPG 2.1. [But send keys does not yet work] * Implement the IMPORT_FILES server command. * New "Refresh Key" action in the key manager's context menu. Note that in GPA's settings dialo there is no more list of keyservers. This is now configured in the Backend Preferences under the GPG tab because it uses the GPG directly. Salam-Shalom, Werner [1] This should be a 164 x 314 x 8 colors, no transparency and white background. I can convert it to the required Windows format.
