I'm a forensics researcher who's received some USG funding; in the eyes of a lot of people, especially post-Dual_EC_DRBG, I'd be suspect. It's best for the overall trustworthiness of GnuPG if I stay away from development tasks. I wish it was otherwise, but ... there you have it.
