Good luck. The merchants don't seem to care, and the banks still think that the name of my third-grade teacher is some kind of closely guarded secret. It's not going to happen unless required by law or in response to some hugely expensive (and successful) class actions against card issuers. The customer is the only one with a compelling incentive to change the system.
