Hi, libassuan 2.0.0 is a new branch of libassuan development. It provides a shared library which is a dependency of of the upcoming versions of GPGME, GnupG 2.1.x and others. Note that this version of libassuan is incompatible with previous versions of libassuan, and can not be installed side-by-side with libassuan 1.0.x.
