It sounds like a regression in DHT or a long-standing issue in FS.

The moment I take a slightly longer break it freezes, though. I'm not sure what to look for to diagnose the issue. The log file doesn't seem very informative and I'm not practical of FS besides some simple API usage taken from GNUnet command line tools like gnunet-publish.
